Job Summary

Support the development of high-quality, cost-effective, manufacturable products by partnering with engineering, operations, sourcing, quality, and product development teams. Review designs, drawings, specifications, and BOMs to identify manufacturability risks and recommend DFM/DFA improvements early to reduce complexity, improve yield, and shorten production time. Drive design changes that enhance producibility, reliability, serviceability, and safety, and support prototype builds through manufacturing launch.

Key Responsibilities

•Collaborate with design engineering teams to ensure products are designed for manufacturability, assembly, quality, and cost.
•Review product designs, drawings, specifications, and BOMs to identify manufacturing risks and improvement opportunities.
•Provide DFM/DFA recommendations early to reduce complexity, improve yield, and shorten production time.
•Partner with manufacturing, supply chain, sourcing, and quality teams to support new product introduction and production readiness.
•Support prototype builds, pilot production, process validation, and manufacturing launch activities, including root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
•Minimum 10 years combined experience in product design, manufacturing engineering, design for manufacturing, or new product introduction.
•Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, sheet metal, welding, casting, molding, assembly, or related production methods.
•Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and BOM structures.
•Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment.
