Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage the delivery of environmental inputs into transport projects including planning applications, EIA, and support for DCO examinations and/or planning inquiries.
  • •Coordinate environmental surveys and provide environmental constraints studies, management plans and Environmental Statements.
  • •Build relationships with clients and identify opportunities for resourcing, programming, strategy development and project delivery.
  • •Undertake activities to secure new work, including proposals, strategic bids, and business development opportunities.
  • •Support the development of innovative techniques (e.g., Digital EIA, Future Ready EIA) and mentor junior colleagues to support their career development.

Key Requirements

  • •A relevant environmental degree level qualification in EIA or similar.
  • •Achieved or demonstrably working towards Practitioner or Chartered Environmental Status and Full membership of IEMA, or similar qualification.
  • •Familiarity with consenting processes for transport infrastructure projects (e.g., Habitats Regulations Assessment, Environmental Permit applications) and understanding of how these integrate with planning and EIA for rail/road schemes.
  • •Ability to coordinate tasks across technical teams, external clients and stakeholders, and deliver projects on time and within budget, in compliance with business procedures.
  • •Experience in bid preparation and responding to client change requests for transport infrastructure projects.
