Job Summary

Build the backend systems powering BJAK’s AI Neobank app, designing reliable APIs, workflows, and financial infrastructure that scales across markets, partners, and millions of users. Own services across onboarding, accounts, payments, cards, transfers, rewards, travel, FX, KYC, and risk flows. Integrate with partners, payment providers, AI services, and third-party platforms, while driving backend quality for reliability, security, latency, observability, and incident handling.

Job Function: Software Engineering

Key Responsibilities

•Build backend services and APIs for onboarding, accounts, payments, cards, transfers, rewards, travel, FX, KYC, and risk flows.
•Design reliable systems to support real customer transactions and operational workflows, enabling future financial products.
•Integrate with internal systems, financial partners, payment providers, AI services, and third-party platforms.
•Own backend quality across reliability, security, latency, observability, data integrity, and incident handling.
•Collaborate with product, frontend, mobile, and AI teams to launch features quickly and safely while improving existing systems by simplifying and automating workflows.

Key Requirements

•Strong backend engineering experience in production systems.
•Practical understanding of APIs, databases, authentication, authorization, queues, jobs, events, and integrations.
•Experience building services used by real customers or internal operations at meaningful scale.
•A mindset focused on debugging, reliability, security, and data quality.
•Ability to make trade-offs between speed, correctness, scalability, and maintainability.
