Job Summary

Lead strategy, negotiation, and execution of Commercial value-based care contracts with national and regional health plans, and support securing network participation agreements. Oversee a team of senior leaders from Manager to Sr. Director, drive growth in multi-year risk arrangements, and build external materials for network partnerships while collaborating with executive leadership to shape value-based contracting strategy for independent primary care.

Key Responsibilities

•Oversee Commercial segment within Strategic Payer Partnerships to ensure performance goals and objectives are met.
•Lead evaluation of prospective health plan partnerships, including negotiating terms and evaluating, editing and recommending approval of value-based care contracts for Commercial members/patients.
•Qualify and source market growth and expansion for multi-year risk arrangements.
•Collaborate with Executive Leadership to shape strategy for value-based contracting on behalf of independent primary care practices.
•Develop and nurture collaborative relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external) and build external-facing materials in support of network participation agreements.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in related field
•15+ years progressive experience with health plans or payer contracting within value-based care, plus 7+ years of experience managing and leading teams

•Results-oriented with the ability to influence to achieve goals
•Proven track record of creating, maintaining, and enhancing relationships and communicating effectively with senior management
