Key Responsibilities

  • •Adhere to environmental, health, and safety protocols (PPE, Lockout/Tagout, Job Safety Analysis) and report hazards or near-misses.
  • •Operate copper shredding, sorting, baling, and hydrometallurgical processing equipment (including conveyors, pumps, and filters).
  • •Inspect, sort, and grade incoming copper scrap to chemical and physical specifications, removing contaminants.
  • •Record production data, material metrics, and tool health using digital dashboards and software tools.
  • •Perform preventative maintenance, cleaning, replacement of wear parts, and basic mechanical troubleshooting to resolve downtime, and support process improvement with engineering.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent, with a manufacturing/mechanical bachelor’s degree a plus.
  • •Hands-on experience in industrial, manufacturing, or heavy assembly environments.
  • •Ability to read, understand, and strictly follow SOPs and safety guidelines.
  • •Mechanical aptitude to identify machine faults by sight and sound.
  • •Ability to perform physically demanding work, including routinely lifting up to 50 lbs.
