Job Summary

Lead Mastercard’s global accounting consolidation and financial reporting process within the GBSC controllership organization. Own monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation activities (legal entity rollups, intercompany elimination, FX translation), review complex journal entries, and oversee consolidated statement schedules and quarterly footnotes. Partner with regional accounting, SEC reporting, treasury, tax, and business finance teams, support audits, and drive automation, process improvement, and risk remediation across the close.

•Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual global consolidation processes, including legal entity rollups, intercompany elimination, and foreign currency translation adjustments.
•Review and approve complex journal entries and consolidated financial statement-impacting accounting transactions.
•Prepare and review consolidated balance sheet, income statement, cash flow, and equity reporting schedules and related documentation for reporting requirements.
•Partner with regional accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely close execution; review GL reconciliations and investigate consolidation-related variances.
•Support internal and external audits, drive process improvement (automation/standardization/enhanced controls), and provide leadership, coaching, and development to accounting professionals.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 109,000 - 180,000 annually

Key Requirements

•CPA required; bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
•7+ years of progressive accounting experience including consolidation, financial reporting, controllership, or corporate accounting.
•Strong technical accounting knowledge, including US GAAP, consolidations, foreign currency accounting, and intercompany accounting.
•Experience supporting external reporting requirements for a large publicly traded multinational organization.
•Experience managing complex accounting close processes and maintaining internal controls.
