Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead, coordinate, and manage substation refurbishment and replacement works within a hydro power plant environment, ensuring delivery safely, on time, and within budget.
  • •Develop detailed project plans, schedules, work programs, scope, milestones, deliverables, and resource requirements.
  • •Monitor and report daily/weekly/monthly project progress against the schedule; prepare weekly progress reports and monthly performance dashboards/updates.
  • •Identify risks, delays, and bottlenecks, implement mitigation actions, and maintain alignment with approved timelines and budgets.
  • •Ensure compliance with client standards, HSE requirements, and quality requirements through inspections/audits; maintain comprehensive project documentation and ensure timely submissions to stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems preferred) from a recognized university.
  • •Minimum 10 years’ experience in electrical HV substation projects, including engineering, construction, testing, and commissioning.
  • •Minimum 5 years’ experience managing substation projects as Project Manager, Construction Manager, or equivalent.
  • •Demonstrable experience in 132kV and above grid projects.
  • •Familiarity with national utility board technical requirements, project procedures, safety regulations, and authority approvals (BEM and/or PMP is an added advantage).
