Job Summary

Join HSBC Innovation Banking's BFCR team to design, enhance and implement financial crime controls related to Anti-Bribery & Corruption and Tax risks. You’ll test control effectiveness, identify gaps, support risk assessments, and provide SME guidance to relationship teams while collaborating with 1LOD/2LOD to strengthen procedures and ensure regulatory compliance in a fast-paced, high-risk environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, enhance and implement financial crime controls relating to ABC and Tax risks, including testing and assessment of control effectiveness and identifying gaps or areas for enhancements.
•Support ongoing enhancement of the Risk and Control Assessment for Anti-Bribery and Corruption and Tax within the HINV Risk Management Framework.
•Serve as an SME for HINV Relationship Teams to help identify clients with increased bribery/corruption and tax risk based on business model, location or ownership.
•Collaborate with 1LOD and 2LOD to strengthen bribery and corruption procedures and controls.
•Review client relationships to cover bribery and corruption risk and perform reviews of existing clients and prospects.

Key Requirements

•Strong in-depth knowledge of financial crime legislation across Anti-Bribery and Corruption, Tax, and application of regulatory requirements.
•Solid experience related to financial crime compliance risk management processes.
•Good working knowledge of financial crime prevention within the UK regulatory environment.
•Good understanding of a wide range of business sectors and niche sectors of innovation with complex business models.
•Strong individual contributor with the ability to work effectively as a team.
