Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide non-medical short-term, solution-focused counseling and consultation to military service members and families.
  • •Deliver assessment, brief counseling, action planning, referral/linkage, and follow-up as indicated.
  • •Conduct training and health/wellness presentations and participate in health fairs and base/installation activities.
  • •Support CYB efforts in schools/youth settings (including parent training/guidance) and maintain line-of-site protocol when working with children.
  • •Enter counselor activity data daily via smartphone or web application while maintaining confidentiality and respond to critical incidents/special requests as directed by the POC.

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s degree in a mental health related field or social work.
  • •Current independent licensure that meets state/commonwealth or customer-specific requirements (e.g., LPC).
  • •Ability to prove US citizenship and be fluent in English.
  • •Advanced knowledge of brief therapy and solution-focused counseling methods.
  • •With short notice, accept undefined assignments including weekends; able to travel within military base and school settings as required.
