Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide loss control expertise and support to Allianz Commercial and customers to assist underwriting in risk selection and retention.
  • •Independently support large corporate clients by completing on-site field engineering surveys and plan reviews and summarizing exposures and controls.
  • •Conduct account-level overviews, desktop reviews, and risk assessments from both location-level and holistic program-wide perspectives.
  • •Survey client operations to identify hazards, coordinate with relevant parties, and generate risk engineering reports, recommendations, and other technical deliverables.
  • •Coordinate loss control activity for assigned accounts, maintain stewardship meetings, support claims post-loss as required, and participate in ARC initiatives and training/presentations.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 7 years of engineering/technical expertise in Property Risk Engineering with strong Earthquake risk knowledge.
  • •Loss prevention engineering experience in an HPR type insurance environment relevant to the line of business.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering or another engineering discipline (or related discipline plus extensive property/HPR insurance expertise).
  • •Experience performing field and desktop evaluation of earthquake risks, including developing loss estimates and risk engineering solutions.
  • •Strong familiarity with Fire Protection guidelines such as NFPA or FM Global, plus ability to apply technical loss control concepts and promote ARC services.
