Job Summary

Manage the full lifecycle of contractual obligations for strategic projects, serving as the primary contractual interface with customers, subcontractors, and consortium partners. Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements (subcontracts, teaming agreements, SLAs, MOUs, intercompany agreements), oversee contract administration, and support claims and dispute resolution. Assess and mitigate contractual, commercial, and project risks while ensuring compliance with Portuguese Public Procurement law. Collaborate with Legal, Procurement, PM, Engineering, and Planning teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage the full contractual lifecycle of strategic projects and ensure contractual compliance from award through completion.
•Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements and support project teams with contract interpretation and negotiations.
•Lead contract administration activities, including correspondence, notices, amendments, variations, and change management documentation.
•Drive contractual and commercial claims by analyzing positions, preparing evidence, and supporting claim/dispute resolution strategies with Legal.
•Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual, commercial, and project risks; support compliance with Portuguese Public Procurement legislation and contractual obligations.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•Law degree.
•At least 5 years of professional experience as a Contract Manager or Legal Counsel.
•Strong knowledge of Portuguese Public Procurement Law.
•Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts and managing contractual claims across the project lifecycle.
•Fluent in Portuguese and English (international contract law knowledge and international project experience are an advantage).
