Job Summary

Own backend services for Mozilla’s Ecosystem Services platform, building server-side logic and end-to-end integrations that keep Firefox and related privacy/security features running reliably in production. Key Responsibilities

•Lead backend development by building and maintaining server-side logic for Mozilla’s ecosystem services.
•Take end-to-end ownership: deploy, operate, and keep services healthy in production.
•Collaborate with CloudEng to maintain and improve production environments, including monitoring and alerting with OpenTelemetry, Sentry, Prometheus, and Grafana.
•Participate in on-call/off-hours rotation to triage and resolve production issues, investigate incidents, and address bug reports.
•Partner with stakeholders to align backend systems, APIs, and data contracts; contribute to API design, code reviews, and security/privacy reviews.

•4+ years of software development experience with a focus on backend technologies.

•Proficiency with PostgreSQL and SQL query optimization, including relational schema design and migrations with a query builder such as Knex.
•Hands-on DevOps experience on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with Docker-based build and deploy pipelines.
•Hands-on experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Sentry and Grafana.
