Job Summary

Deliver specialist forensic financial assessments for complex, high-risk income protection claims within the Life Claims Technical Centre of Excellence. Ensure earnings and benefit calculations are accurate, fair, and consistent, and review payments prior to release. Conduct retrospective reviews to identify payment leakage, provide expert guidance on policy interpretation, and support the governance of AI-assisted calculation tools while coaching Claims Consultants.

Key Responsibilities

•Deliver specialist forensic financial assessments across complex income protection claims, including earnings and benefit calculations.
•Provide expert advice and guidance to claims teams on financial assessments and policy interpretation.
•Review high-risk claim calculations prior to payment to ensure accuracy and consistency.
•Conduct targeted retrospective reviews to identify payment leakage and customer impacts.
•Coach and uplift Claims Consultants through technical guidance and training while supporting AI-assisted calculation tools development and governance.

Key Requirements

•Demonstrated experience in forensic accounting, financial analysis, or specialist financial assessment in insurance or a similar environment.
•Strong experience assessing complex financial structures such as multiple entities, trusts, or self-employed income.
•Experience working in a regulated environment with claims frameworks and compliance requirements.
•Proven experience contributing to reviews, remediation activities, or identifying financial discrepancies.
•CA or CPA qualification (or equivalent), with tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, plus advanced Excel skills.
