Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as Chief Cybersecurity Risk Officer with independent oversight and challenge of the CISO across cyber risk types.
  • •Establish and manage cyber risk oversight, including delivery of independent assessments and continuous monitoring aligned to risk appetite and regulatory expectations.
  • •Lead governance and oversight across key committees; review/challenge cyber technology and data policies, standards, procedures, and oversee assessments of critical vendors and third-party providers.
  • •Define and drive cyber risk frameworks and assessments; oversee cybersecurity controls maturity and adequacy against agreed business outcomes.
  • •Oversee risk continuous monitoring, incident review and remediation direction, and create recurring cyber risk reporting packages for internal and governance needs up to senior leadership and the Board.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a data/technology related field; MBA preferred.
  • •15+ years of progressive cybersecurity experience in a Category 2 or 3 Large Financial Institution, including deep understanding of federal regulatory requirements (Federal Reserve and FDIC).
  • •15+ years of experience managing people, with demonstrated recruiting, developing, and coaching/mentoring experience.
  • •Extensive knowledge of information security, cyber risk, core technology infrastructure, cloud operations, and technology operations; experience measuring effectiveness of controls.
  • •Knowledge of technology governance and risk frameworks and rules/regulations, including FFIEC, COBIT, NIST, and ITIL; ability to translate technical concepts to executives and Board members.
