Key Responsibilities

  • •Own high-level systems architecture for vehicle subsystems and define how mechanical, electrical, and software components interact.
  • •Write, maintain, and trace system/subsystem requirements through integration and test; author and maintain Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and related artifacts.
  • •Integrate custom and COTS actuation and sensing systems onto vehicle platforms; design custom solutions when no suitable commercial options exist and troubleshoot integration issues across boundaries.
  • •Develop and execute test plans and procedures to validate system and subsystem performance in lab and vehicle environments; understand how the DBW system fits the overall architecture.
  • •Analyze and visualize test and telemetry data using scripting; produce engineering artifacts for safety analysis and review software design/code for system-level behavior impact.

Key Requirements

  • •6+ years of hands-on systems integration and test engineering experience (exceptional candidates with 1–2 years may be considered).
  • •B.S. (or equivalent hands-on experience) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • •Ability to work across mechanical, electrical, and software disciplines and communicate credibly with specialists across teams.
  • •Experience writing, managing, and tracing system/subsystem requirements and integrating COTS actuation and/or sensing systems onto vehicles or complex electromechanical systems.
  • •Scripting proficiency (e.g., Python) for processing and analyzing test data, plus experience with interface control principles and documentation (ICDs).
