Key Responsibilities

  • •Inspect and review work in accordance with applicable codes and standards included in the project drawings and specifications including roadway, bridge, paving, drainage, electrical, ITS to ensure compliance with contract documents, specifications, standards and codes
  • •Interpret roadway and bridge plans, building plans, specifications, and contracts
  • •Monitor, observe, and report on field quality control and quality assurance for materials testing activities and/or conduct routine field tests on construction materials such as slump test, air content test, and compaction tests
  • •Keeps detailed records of contractor’s performance and progress
  • •Utilize construction management software such as AASHTO’s Field Manager, Procore, or Primavera Contract Manager, etc.

Key Requirements

  • •High school graduate or possession of a State high school equivalence certificate
  • •11 years of experience in inspection or highway and/or building construction
  • •OSHA 10 certification
  • •Soils & Aggregate certification
  • •ACI certification
