Key Responsibilities

  • •Interpret internal and external business challenges in the pipeline engineering discipline and propose best practices; solve complex pipeline-related problems and work independently with minimal guidance.
  • •May lead functional teams or projects and be regarded as a specialist in pipeline engineering with in-depth expertise in the field.
  • •Become familiar with project scope, specifications, schedule, and inter-discipline requirements; identify concerns early and address them; interpret contractual requirements related to engineering execution.
  • •Identify changes to scope and promptly raise change notifications and variation orders with necessary documentation and estimates.
  • •Interface with all disciplines to develop clash-free designs and coordinate with other departments to obtain input for discipline designs and drawings.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering
  • •15-20 years of oil and gas experience with major contractor or consultant, predominantly detail design
  • •Detailed knowledge of design techniques, analysis methods, standards, codes and guidelines for Mechanical Equipment
  • •Knowledgeable in project coordination and execution skills
  • •Preferably a Registered Professional Engineer or member of a professional engineering society
