Job Summary

Ensure the operational success of MongoDB Atlas for a 24/7 global customer base by monitoring alert dashboards, reviewing logs, and troubleshooting production incidents. Coordinate with Cloud Operations Engineers to improve uptime, reduce Mean Time to Resolve, and automate monitoring and troubleshooting. Support FedRamp Atlas environments for government customers, participate in an on-call rotation, and collaborate with product and cloud engineering to improve management applications powering the Atlas infrastructure.

•Implement new processes and tools to scale worldwide Cloud Operations Engineering.
•Design, deploy, and automate systems that reduce MTTR for customer incidents.
•Monitor for emerging customer-facing incidents and proactively assist in resolution.
•Participate in an on-call rotation and handle short-term customer incidents, including escalating major outages when needed.

Key Requirements

•2+ years of experience as an on-call DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Operations engineer.
•Expertise with Linux system administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
•Experience monitoring systems and collecting/analyzing/reporting performance data.
•Networking knowledge including DNS and TCP/IP.
•Programming and systems administration skills, including at least one of Java, Go, Python, or JavaScript, plus knowledge of database operations.
