Job Summary

Support the end-to-end Credit & Lending servicing journey within the Business Credit Office (BCO), a new first-line credit management function. Execute credit risk analysis and rating recommendations for new and existing deals, negotiate legal documentation, and manage client credit monitoring. Provide credit management support to Relationship Managers, maintain internal control and audit/regulatory compliance, and help deliver BCO objectives, KPIs, and market intelligence in Melbourne.

Key Responsibilities

•Support the end-to-end Credit & Lending servicing journey to ensure a seamless process for customers and internal stakeholders.
•Execute risk analysis for new and existing deals (business, industry, credit, transition, and technical risk) and negotiate internal/external legal documentation.
•Combine client relationship management with credit risk assessment and credit management to ensure credit quality and appropriate returns on risk.
•Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of audit recommendations and addressing issues raised by regulators.
•Engage constructively with risk partners and clients and help deliver BCO tasks aligned to objectives, SLAs, and KPIs.

Key Requirements

•Relevant work experience in corporate banking or related fields (credit/financial analyst, auditor, or relationship manager) with strong credit and financial analysis skills.
•Strong understanding of financing instruments and banking products for Corporate & Institutional banking.
•Strong stakeholder management skills, including building relationships and driving alignment across senior leaders.
•Comprehensive understanding of risk management and proven experience ensuring compliance with organisational and regulatory requirements.
•Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/CA/CFA highly valued.
