Job Summary

Staff Security Software Engineer responsible for designing, building, and deploying Crusoe's core security infrastructure and automation platforms. You will own high-throughput identity, secrets management, and data pipelines, integrate security checks into CI/CD, and provide architectural leadership across a distributed security engineering team, delivering scalable, secure-by-default production environments.

Key Responsibilities

•Architect & Build: Design, implement, and maintain highly scalable, distributed software systems that form Crusoe's core security engineering foundation.
•Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with product security, infrastructure security platform engineering, and security domain teams to translate regulatory needs into automated technical solutions while owning the engineering.
•Data & Control Pipelines: Develop high-throughput control integrations and data pipelines to collect, normalize, and analyze security telemetry across IAM, logs, vulnerability scanners, and CCM/GRC tools.
•Metrics & Visibility Engines: Build metrics engines, real-time dashboards, and analytics pipelines for continuous visibility into compliance health, risk posture, and threats.
•Technical Leadership: Provide technical direction and architectural oversight across the security engineering team, promoting high engineering standards and innovation.

Key Requirements

•Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
•Software Engineering: 8+ years of professional software development experience, with 5+ years in production-grade programming (Go, Rust).
•Orchestration & Containers: 4+ years deploying, securing, and managing applications at scale on Kubernetes and public cloud environments.
•System Architecture: Proven track record designing, building, and operating high-QPS, fault-tolerant distributed systems.
•CI/CD & IaC: Deep familiarity with modern CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code practices, plus secure data flows and integrations (IAM, logging, CCM/GRC).
