Key Responsibilities

  • •Own and operate production data marts that power retail media, advertiser reporting, revenue attribution, and marketing measurement.
  • •Ship net-new systems within the first six months, including a data mart catalog with SLOs, lineage, PII classification, and audit trail capture.
  • •Drive Iceberg standardization for a revenue-attached merchant/advertiser mart, ensuring GDPR deletion propagation and schema-change audit via a reusable playbook.
  • •Draft and enforce a marts-first access policy that steers consumers away from raw event tables, implemented via Trino permissions and CloudSentry with full auditable exceptions.
  • •Develop migration and parity code (Hive→Iceberg), dbt models, Airflow DAGs, and carry ongoing production support/on-call coverage for these marts.

Salary: USD 209,000 - 262,400 annually

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years engineering experience and 5+ years building shared data platforms or lakehouse infrastructure.
  • •Hands-on leadership of a Hive → Iceberg (or analogous lakehouse) migration at scale for a revenue-attached system.
  • •Set standards adopted by 3+ product teams, including data catalog standards and governance patterns used across teams.
  • •Built or extended a cross-team data catalog (e.g., Amundsen, DataHub, Collibra, OpenMetadata, or similar).
