Job Summary

Install and troubleshoot audio-visual systems for AVI-SPL customer projects, including low-voltage cabling, rack fabrication/wiring, and site setup. Lead and direct installation crews on less complex jobs while coordinating and reporting progress to the Project Manager. Read system schematics/blueprints, ensure safety and quality, manage tools/equipment on site, communicate status and change requests, and provide client training. Travel to various job sites as required and support day-to-day project execution.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform installation tasks such as cable pulls, cable terminations, equipment/components installation, rack fabrication and wiring, and layout for equipment and metal fabrication.
•Lead and direct installation crews on less complex projects and coordinate with the Project Manager to ensure time, scope, budget, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
•Read and interpret system schematics and architectural/construction blueprints to complete installations.
•Use hand and power tools to solder and crimp connectors; test point-to-point cabling and system functionality.
•Communicate daily job site status to the Project Manager, act as customer liaison, direct on-site change requests, and travel to job sites as required.

Key Requirements

•2–4 years of audiovisual installation experience.
•Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
•Intermediate proficiency installing, terminating, and troubleshooting low-voltage cabling (e.g., HDMI, CAT5e/6, fiber optic) and wiring methods like conduit runs and cable trays.
•Intermediate understanding of AV systems (projectors, screens, speakers, microphones, video conferencing, digital signage, control systems) and network infrastructure integration (IP-based systems, streaming, cloud-based services).
•Valid driver’s license and an MVR that meets AVI-SPL Driving Privileges standards.
