Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close for the Japan entity, including general ledger, AP, and AR.
  • •Prepare financial statements under US-GAAP and J-GAAP and perform balance sheet reconciliations.
  • •Manage intercompany accounting, including transaction recording, reconciliations, and settlements with foreign related entities.
  • •Oversee treasury and banking functions (cash flow forecasting, currency conversion, overseas payments, FX transactions) and manage payroll-related accounting with external providers.
  • •Ensure tax compliance and audit readiness (consumption tax, corporate income tax, customs clearing, SOX/internal audit support), and drive process/system improvements while managing the accounting team.

Key Requirements

  • •15+ years of hands-on experience in finance and accounting, including financial close and reporting.
  • •Proven people management experience leading and developing an accounting team.
  • •Hands-on expertise with US-GAAP and J-GAAP close and reporting.
  • •Experience with intercompany accounting and transfer pricing.
  • •Hands-on experience with treasury and bank management, including cash management and FX transactions.
