Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide full-scope personal financial counseling services to service members and families at military installations, including one-on-one sessions, consultations, briefings, and referrals.
  • •Develop and distribute informational financial materials for service members and their families.
  • •Coordinate, publicize, and deliver a variety of Personal Financial Management classes/workshops across the military lifecycle, including age-appropriate classes on request.
  • •Work with installation and military branch points of contact to ensure the program is within scope and meets installation needs.
  • •Support virtual counseling via secure electronic modes as authorized, manage duty-to-warn situations per DoD protocol, and participate in supervision, training, and quality activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree required; may consider an associate degree with 4 years' experience, or a high school diploma with 6 years' experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • •3+ years of financial counseling experience.
  • •Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
  • •Obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation and successfully complete the OCI process.
  • •Must have one of: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
