Key Responsibilities

  • •Organize and direct general accounting and financial activities for the project, including coordinating reporting, receivables, payables, and monthly performance measures.
  • •Develop accounting standard operating procedures and internal controls, and oversee accounting staff and activities.
  • •Oversee reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting and analysis, and ensure daily/monthly key performance measures are achieved.
  • •Manage operational and financial audits, including internal audits (e.g., monthly physical inventory) and external audits (e.g., SOC 1 Type II).
  • •Monitor accounting systems and procedures, evaluate back-office software, and identify process control improvements and efficiencies; interface with clients and auditors.

Key Requirements

  • •7 years of financial and accounting experience, including management or leadership overseeing accounting operations in a GAAP-compliant high-volume transaction environment.
  • •B.A. or B.S. degree in Accounting or related field.
  • •Active CPA license preferred (not required).
  • •Experience with process audits and revenue management, including translating operational issues into financial risk assessments.
  • •Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word, and the ability to learn new software tools as introduced.
