Job Summary

Provide patient-centered nursing care within scope of practice in an obstetrics and gynecology setting. Assess and reassess patients, collect and analyze health data, and develop care plans with an interprofessional team. Record and monitor vital signs, recognize and escalate abnormalities, administer medications and treatments, deliver wound care, and support patient admission, transfer, and discharge. Perform essential life support and maintain clinical skills and documentation practices.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide and coordinate patient care, educating patients and the public about health conditions and offering advice and emotional support to patients and families.
•Assess and identify patient needs; implement and monitor medical plans and treatment in collaboration with physicians and allied health professionals.
•Perform systematic patient assessment and re-assessment; collect and analyze pertinent health data and determine nursing diagnoses, problems, and issues.
•Create and evaluate patient care plans with the interprofessional team, record vital signs, and recognize, address, and escalate abnormalities.
•Administer medications and treatments, provide wound care, assist in procedures, perform essential life support, and facilitate safe admission, transfer, and discharge.

Key Requirements

•Have an appropriate license to work as a registered nurse with the relevant regulatory health authority.
•Manage your own professional re-licensure.
•Hold a valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider card.
•Be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English (spoken and written).
•Be able to work across departments when necessary.
