Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as local subject matter expert on reimbursement, billing, coding, and patient support programs for assigned indications and therapies.
  • •Educate HCP offices, billing staff, and financial coordinators on payer policies, coverage criteria, prior authorization requirements, denials, appeals, and peer-to-peer education.
  • •Develop and execute strategic account and territory plans to increase customer knowledge and guide call objectives using internal data and field insights.
  • •Collaborate with Alexion OneSource Patient Services to support individual case management needs related to reimbursement education.
  • •Maintain accurate documentation and operational reporting in CRM and other approved systems, and ensure activities align with company priorities, KPIs, territory objectives, and budget parameters.
Travel: Extensive travel

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree.
  • •5-7 years’ experience in the healthcare and/or pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
  • •3+ years of field reimbursement experience and experience working with buy and bill and/or specialty pharmacy networks.
  • •Understanding of access processes across medical and pharmacy benefit design (Rx to infusion/injection) and experience with products requiring prior authorization.
  • •Proficiency using iPad/laptop and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; ability to travel and support education/case work in-office environments.
