Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic components (including brakes/cooling, starters/alternators, steering, transmissions, and engines).
  • •Road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and confirm proper operation.
  • •Maintain and reconcile parts inventory and operate the company-issued service vehicle with daily pre-/post-trip inspections and safety checks.
  • •Complete DOT forms and repair orders/documentation, including uploading photos of work performed and findings, using company standards and tools.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination, such as additional certification or 5 years’ experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform the job.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) certification within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Able to successfully complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a qualifying current DOT medical card).
  • •At least 21 years or older and hold a valid driver’s license, able to obtain and maintain a Driver Qualification File.
