Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide legal analysis, advice, and support for commercial agreements, including structuring, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating with a focus on service, cost, quality, and risk mitigation.
  • •Support corporate, business, and functional strategy and customer-facing initiatives.
  • •Review advertising and promotional materials for legal and regulatory compliance, including product claims, media, entertainment, digital content, talent agreements, licensing, social media, rights, and clearances.
  • •Oversee the trademark portfolio globally, including clearance, registration, maintenance, and enforcement of Ferguson brands across markets.
  • •Maintain contract lifecycle processes using a contract management system, including commercial contract signings, guidance through legal administrative process, and regular reporting of key metrics.

Key Requirements

  • •Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school and admitted to practice in good standing with at least one U.S. State Bar.
  • •Minimum of 10 years total legal experience, with significant relevant experience as legal counsel at a law firm or private corporation.
  • •Experience drafting and negotiating contracts, including experience with the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) and the U.N. Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
  • •Collaborative and proactive ability to work with peers and internal clients across a global organization as well as independently.
  • •High proficiency with Microsoft Office and leading contract management systems (iCertis preferred).
