Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage safe commissioning of power generation engineered projects, including preparation of commissioning procedures.
  • •Perform full pre-commissioning through final commissioning of diesel generator systems, including cold/hot testing, load bank tests, and ATS/switchboard sequence testing.
  • •Validate systems integration with datacentre electrical distribution (LV/HV), UPS/static transfer switches, BMS/SCAD/PLC controls, and synchronization/power management systems.
  • •Troubleshoot and optimize electrical, mechanical, fuel, and control system issues; fine tune governor/AVR and validate exhaust, cooling, and ventilation systems.
  • •Produce commissioning documentation and ensure compliance with AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3010, ISO 8528 and local EPA requirements; provide operator training and technical support post-handover.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong electrical or mechanical engineering background, with preference for electrical knowledge.
  • •Experience with mission-critical power systems, preferably datacentres.
  • •Understanding of UPS-generator interaction and harmonic considerations.
  • •Ability to interpret schematics, SLDs, control logic, and OEM manuals.
  • •High awareness of safety in high energy, live environments and willingness to travel to sites (CBD or remote areas).
