Key Responsibilities

•Lead and manage the Science department, including line-management of staff and ensuring high teaching standards across Year Groups 11–18
•Oversee teaching and learning, lesson observations, and data-driven progress to monitor student outcomes
•Contribute to, implement and evaluate the School Development Plan relevant to the Science area, ensuring policies are translated into practice
•Lead regular meetings with colleagues, monitor standards, and contribute to self-evaluation and policy documents
•Promote cross-curricular approaches and act as a role model for teaching, behaviour, and classroom management

Key Requirements

•Proven experience in leading and line-managing Science departments for Year Groups 11–18
•Experience teaching GCSE/IGCSE and A-Level curriculum
•A degree in one of the core Science subjects
•UK-enhanced DBS or equivalent police check is a pre-requisite for all appointments
•Previous teaching experience within the UK system is essential
