Prepare and process wafers for experimentation, including cleaning, loading, and evaluating process performance. Operate Focused Ion Beam (FIB) equipment to create TEM lamella according to pattern instructions, optimize sample prep conditions, and perform software alignment and routine maintenance (e.g., flash and plasma clean). Coordinate equipment repair, maintenance, and vendor supply needs, and collaborate with engineering to support wafer evaluations, lab monitoring, and quality/throughput goals.

Key Responsibilities

•Prepare wafers for experimentation, including cleaning and loading, and prepare samples for FIB lamella making while optimizing sample prep procedures and conditions.
•Operate and check the performance of equipment to perform the sample prep process under limited supervision.
•Operate FIB for making TEM lamella based on job assignment, identify patterns of interest, and determine optimized conditions based on sample/beam interaction.
•Perform routine maintenance and shut down procedures; identify problems, put the tool down, and call for service.
•Coordinate instrument repair and maintenance, collaborate with engineering on wafer evaluations, and coordinate orders for equipment and supplies with vendors and purchasing.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 29 - 39.6

•Operate FIB systems to make TEM lamella, selecting optimized cutting locations and conditions based on patterns and lamella quality requirements.
•Carry out FIB system software alignment functions and routine maintenance procedures such as flash and plasma clean.
•Coordinate instrument repair and maintenance, including calling for service when problems are identified.
•Use communication skills to exchange information and support lab operations monitoring wafers in process (WIP) to maintain quality and throughput.
