Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare wafers for experimentation, including cleaning and loading, and prepare samples for FIB lamella making while optimizing sample prep procedures and conditions.
  • •Operate and check the performance of equipment to perform the sample prep process under limited supervision.
  • •Operate FIB for making TEM lamella based on job assignment, identify patterns of interest, and determine optimized conditions based on sample/beam interaction.
  • •Perform routine maintenance and shut down procedures; identify problems, put the tool down, and call for service.
  • •Coordinate instrument repair and maintenance, collaborate with engineering on wafer evaluations, and coordinate orders for equipment and supplies with vendors and purchasing.
