Job Summary

Own the strategy and execution for direct and indirect material categories, partnering with internal stakeholders to deliver cost-effective products and services. Lead category teams, manage supplier prequalification, pricing, tenders, and contract terms, and ensure inventory stays above safety stock. Analyze market data and category spend to drive KPIs, cost savings, and vendor performance. Support process improvements with ERP (SAP) and reporting enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage assigned material categories and develop/execute strategies for critical materials.
•Lead and manage category teams, including supplier prequalification across stakeholders.
•Monitor inventory levels to ensure materials do not fall below safety stock and track category KPIs.
•Review and approve RFPs/tenders and purchase orders, manage preferred/strategic vendors, and oversee product/service/vendor evaluations.
•Negotiate and finalize purchase order and contract terms; prepare periodic spend reports and recommend ERP/reporting enhancements to improve tracking and visibility.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 8 years working experience with 5 years relevant procurement experience.
•Proficiency in procurement processes including sourcing, bidding, and contract negotiation.
•Strong analytical skills to evaluate supplier proposals, perform cost analysis, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
•Negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing, delivery schedules, and terms while maintaining quality standards.
•ERP knowledge with preferably SAP functional skills; ability to assess technical specifications and align with project requirements.
