Key Responsibilities

  • •Collaborate with region safety professionals and company leadership to establish a proactive safety culture across business units.
  • •Manage and coordinate the administration of the Risk Management and Environmental teams, including supervision of one direct report.
  • •Ensure compliance with federal/state/local safety regulations by interpreting standards, enforcing adherence, and advising management on needed actions.
  • •Coordinate safety training, perform inspections and industrial hygiene audits, and maintain safety records including OSHA logs.
  • •Oversee accident investigations and workers’ compensation/liability claims support, including claims monitoring, report generation, and collaboration with insurance carriers, medical personnel, and legal counsel.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of workers’ compensation claim management experience and prior experience handling lost-time claims.
  • •General/product/auto liability and OSHA experience preferred; workers’ compensation experience in Michigan highly desired.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • •Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and administrative/analytical abilities.
  • •Ability to travel within the assigned region, work nights/weekends as needed, and be an on-call contact for emergency incident management.
