Job Summary

Build, automate, and continuously improve Unix platform services by leading infrastructure automation and configuration management for Vocalink Core Unix platforms. Create Ansible-based playbooks and automation frameworks, and design Infrastructure as Code pipelines for provisioning, configuration, patching, and lifecycle management. Drive platform modernization from manual processes to automated, self-service engineering while ensuring SLA and availability targets through resilient DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, develop, and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and automation frameworks to manage Unix platforms at scale.
•Build and manage Infrastructure as Code pipelines for provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management.
•Standardize and automate Unix builds, patching, upgrades, and compliance enforcement.
•Integrate automation with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Service Management platforms to deliver reusable service offerings.
•Lead platform modernisation initiatives and use automation to resolve complex platform issues and prevent recurrence.

Key Requirements

•Proven track record implementing Ansible at scale across Unix/Linux estates.
•Hands-on experience building end-to-end automated pipelines for build, config, patch, and deploy.
•Strong Infrastructure as Code and GitOps experience to support automated provisioning and lifecycle management.
•Ability to define automation strategy, standards, and reusable frameworks for platform engineering.
•Experience leading automation-led platform engineering initiatives and acting as a technical authority for Unix automation.
