Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently for road, site, and highway construction and paving.
  • •Smooth and adjust grade and finishes before compaction.
  • •Follow company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe work procedures and environment.
  • •Perform minor servicing and maintenance; escalate major problems to the Foreman.
  • •Complete daily pre- and post-inspections with appropriate documentation and follow Foreman directions for daily tasks and expectations.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum high school diploma or GED preferred.
  • •Previous related experience in the construction field and/or training required.
  • •Must be able to perform frequent physical motions (stretching, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, walking, standing, reaching, squatting) including regular lifting of 25 pounds and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • •Use tools such as a shovel, asphalt rake, and asphalt lute to perform grade crew tasks.
  • •Ability to work any shift and work in GA and SC depending on the project.
