Key Responsibilities

  • •Own developer relations for the Databricks Platform end-to-end by setting strategy, defining success metrics, and driving outcomes.
  • •Hire, level, and grow a team of Developer Advocates, taking ownership of their careers and performance.
  • •Translate product roadmaps into developer-ready content and community programs, and establish repeatable advocacy approaches (content flywheels, demo standards, event playbooks).
  • •Deliver and oversee technical knowledge sharing (talks, panels, meetups, blogs, video content, courseware, and community forum support).
  • •Represent the practitioner community within R&D and guide development of high-quality educational resources while expanding meetups and user groups.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of combined experience in developer relations/developer advocacy and a hands-on technical role (e.g., software engineer, data engineer, solutions architect).
  • •2+ years managing and growing a developer relations team, including hiring, leveling, and promoting advocates.
  • •Experience setting and executing a developer relations strategy for a product area, beyond just managing a content calendar.
  • •Subject matter knowledge of solving data engineering, data science, and data analytics problems at scale, and understanding how business users consume results.
  • •Deep familiarity with the Databricks Data + AI Platform ecosystem and capabilities (e.g., Lakeflow, Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, Lakehouse, AI/BI dashboards, Genie/agents, and Databricks Apps).
