Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, document, and version-control six foundational engineering frameworks in a central standards repository and drive active adoption through enablement sessions and lightweight review checkpoints.
  • •Implement DataOps and CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workloads using GitHub Actions (or equivalent), including linting, unit testing, schema validation, and environment promotion.
  • •Build data quality and observability capabilities: data contract frameworks, reusable monitoring templates, lineage/runtime/freshness metrics, and incident response workflows for data quality breaches.
  • •Engineer Snowflake platform access control: scalable RBAC, row-level security via row access policies, dynamic masking aligned to classification taxonomy, and governance for warehouse sizing and query optimization.
  • •Champion GenAI-augmented data engineering (e.g., AI-assisted code generation and LLM-powered documentation/querying) with guardrails and governance, while leading modernization initiatives to improve delivery velocity.

Key Requirements

  • •B.E./M.Tech in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Science.
  • •10+ years delivering production enterprise data pipelines across ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and serving layers.
  • •Strong SQL and Python proficiency with both batch and streaming paradigms.
  • •Deep hands-on Snowflake expertise including data sharing, zero-copy cloning, dynamic tables, streams/tasks, RBAC, row access policies, dynamic masking, warehouse sizing, and query optimization.
  • •Technical leadership experience setting standards, mentoring engineers, and influencing engineering direction; able to drive adoption without a direct management title.
