Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct periodic reviews of Sundry GLs and Internal Accounts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
  • •Perform comprehensive monthly variance analysis and prepare variance reports for internal and regulatory reporting.
  • •Manage end-to-end escalation and exception processes, ensuring prompt resolution and clear communication with stakeholders.
  • •Oversee financial control functions, including monitoring reverse/abnormal/mismatch balances and reconciling/reviewing GL subsidiary accounts.
  • •Liaise with external auditors, serve as primary contact for financial reporting issues, and maintain/document policies, procedures, and controls to drive continuous improvement.

Key Requirements

  • •Chartered Accountant (CA), ACCA, CPA, or equivalent qualification is required.
  • •Minimum 7 to 8 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or internal controls, preferably in banking/financial services.
  • •Strong knowledge of IFRS and regulatory reporting standards applicable to the banking sector.
  • •Proven track record managing General Ledger accounts, variance analysis, and financial controls in a large organization.
  • •Proficiency using core banking systems, accounting software, and advanced Excel tools; knowledge of ICFR.
