Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead structural design for medium to large building projects using Eurocodes and UK best practices, driving innovative, safe, and sustainable solutions.
  • •Provide high-level technical review and approval of structural calculations, drawings, and reports, ensuring compliance with QA/QC and project standards.
  • •Manage the full project lifecycle from concept to construction, including scopes, deliverables, programmes, fee proposals, and monitoring budgets, risks, and change control.
  • •Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams (architecture, MEP, civils) and ensure timely delivery of design information to clients and contractors.
  • •Mentor, coach, and develop engineers and graduates; oversee resource planning and workload distribution; support client engagement and design reviews.

Key Requirements

  • •15+ years of experience in building structure design and delivery, including leading UK-based multidisciplinary building projects.
  • •Strong understanding of structural behaviour in steel, RC, masonry, and timber.
  • •Proficiency in structural design software: ETABS, STAAD, Robot, Tekla Structural Designer, SAFE, and RAM.
  • •Experience working in BIM-enabled environments, including Revit.
  • •Professional qualifications such as Chartered Engineer IStructE (highly desirable) or with ICE, plus a BEng/MEng/MSc in Civil or Structural Engineering.
