Job Summary

Lead the development of foundational app architecture at Roblox, driving multi-year roadmaps for modularization, network resiliency, and resource efficiency. Define and own critical systems (process lifecycle, asset orchestration, observability) and partner with engineering, data science, and product teams to scale Roblox’s apps across platforms while maintaining performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

•Define the capabilities and inner workings of critical systems like our process lifecycle manager, asset download orchestrator and observability frameworks (sessionization).
•Drive a multi-year roadmap to modernize our App Architecture across modularization, network resiliency, and resource efficiency, collaborating with Engineering to ideate scalable systems.
•Drive the roadmap for Observability and Logging Systems, including monitoring and triage workflows to close gaps with new features and capabilities.
•Empower customer teams by evangelizing, integrating, and migrating them to the latest standards across Roblox features.
•Write product and technical specifications to communicate requirements and system behaviors, enabling relentless execution.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 280,540 - 330,950 annually

Key Requirements

•A degree or equivalent experience in a highly technical field like computer science or software engineering.
•Experience as a PM building platforms or highly technical products.
•Experience as an engineer or engineering manager building platform products, managing migrations and designing complex systems.
•Experience owning and driving roadmaps for teams that span multiple feature areas.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to define technical specifications and communicate tradeoffs clearly.
