Key Responsibilities

  • •Undertake overhead line design activities including PLS-CADD modelling, line routing, structural analysis, design criteria, and sag-tension calculations.
  • •Support OHL feasibility studies, including conductor thermal ratings, and identify technically preferred solution/layouts for clients.
  • •Ensure projects meet safety, health, environmental, sustainability, and quality standards.
  • •Follow AECOM and client design management processes.
  • •Contribute to engineering deliverables such as complex designs, reports, proposals, presentations, and drawing packages.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or equivalent), in electrical engineering or power engineering.
  • •Experience working on electrical design projects for transmission system operators such as National Grid, SSE, and SPT.
  • •Project experience in overhead line engineering up to 400kV.
  • •Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
