Traction Power Project Engineer involved in the design and analysis of DC/AC traction power systems for railways and transit. Key Responsibilities

•Assist senior engineers in the design and analysis of traction power distribution systems, including substations, overhead catenary systems (OCS), and third rail systems.
•Support the development of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment layouts using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation).
•Perform calculations related to voltage drop, current flow, and power system performance.
•Assist in the preparation of technical reports, specifications, and construction documents.
•Conduct field inspections and site visits to gather data and observe construction activities.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 100,000 - 130,000 annually

Key Requirements

•BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field and 4 years relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
•Experience with electrical power systems, circuit analysis and electrical theory.
•Experience with AC and DC power concepts.
•Experience with power system analysis software (e.g., ETAP, SKM Power Tools).
•Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within two (2) years of hire.
