Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and develop a global privacy legal team and act as a point of escalation for privacy and data protection expertise.
  • •Advise internal stakeholders on compliance with applicable privacy and data protection laws and regulations, including privacy by design frameworks and certifications.
  • •Negotiate privacy and data protection terms for Master Subscription Agreements, Data Processing Addendums, and related transaction documents.
  • •Provide day-to-day privacy legal support, including investigating potential privacy incidents and analyzing regulatory and contractual responsibilities.
  • •Develop and maintain privacy policies, procedures, standards, and runbooks, and help create audit and monitoring frameworks; manage outside counsel relationships.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of in-house and/or law firm experience as a practicing attorney, including at least 5 years specializing in privacy and data protection.
  • •Strong ability to translate complex privacy and data protection issues into clear legal guidance and communicate effectively with non-legal colleagues.
  • •Strong knowledge of privacy and data protection frameworks, including GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, HIPAA, NIST, ISO, FedRAMP, and PCI-DSS.
  • •Proven track record managing and overseeing a team of privacy legal professionals, preferably at a global company.
  • •Strong academic background with a J.D. and active bar admission.
