Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and timely while obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading/unloading using specialized equipment and return equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain required paperwork (invoices, bills of lading) and complete routine truck service such as checking oil/water/fuel/air, reporting maintenance issues to a supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold either a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or a chauffeur’s license depending on state and vehicle weight requirements.

  • •Pass a DOT physical for trucks driven over 10k lbs.
  • •Be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • •Demonstrate strong interpersonal and customer service skills and the ability to stay focused in a busy environment.
