Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform electrical engineering design work on assigned projects under senior staff guidance.
  • •Collaborate with Project Engineer and Project Manager on design schedules and budgets for electrical work.
  • •Develop solar PV and BESS designs (array layouts, DC string sizing, equipment layouts, and utility interconnections) for multiple mounting types.
  • •Produce engineering calculations and construction drawing support (one-lines, network diagrams) including voltage, conductor, protection, disconnect requirements, and conduit sizing.
  • •Support end-to-end project delivery from feasibility through start-up and commissioning, including participating in meetings with occasional travel.

Key Requirements

  • •BA/BS in Electrical Engineering (or engineering-related discipline) plus 4 years of relevant experience, or equivalent education/experience.
  • •Demonstrated experience designing and integrating utility-scale renewable and battery storage systems.
  • •Current professional engineering license (PE) and ability to attain additional states by comity.
  • •Proficiency in industry software such as Homer, NREL SAM, ForgeSolar, and Helioscope.
  • •Strong familiarity with the NEC and related codes such as IBC and NFPA 855.
