Key Responsibilities

  • •Contribute to lighting design for highways/transport infrastructure, decorative and industrial facilities, sports facilities, car parks, and amenity areas.
  • •Conduct site surveys/desktop studies to determine existing infrastructure pre-design and perform lighting assessments for environmental impact.
  • •Prepare and take responsibility for concept and preliminary engineering solutions for detail design; ensure designs and drawings are checked to required standards and quality.
  • •Understand project scope and deliverables, complete work on time, and provide regular status updates including progress, risks, issues, and changes to the senior engineer/project manager.
  • •Coordinate with multi-disciplinary design teams and CAD technicians, attend and contribute to project/team meetings, and embed health & safety into work practices.
Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

  • •At least BEng in Electrical Engineering/Electronics Engineering/Electronics and Telecom Engineering with 3-6 years of relevant experience.
  • •Good computer skills and working knowledge of lighting, signing and electrical design programmes including Lighting Reality, Dialux, AutoCAD, and Amtech.
  • •Experience in lighting design to relevant British and EU standards, including health & safety and UK local authority specifications.
  • •Completion or part completion of the ILP’s Lighting Exterior Lighting Diploma (or equivalent).
  • •Ability to coordinate with multi-offices/multi-discipline projects, seek clarity of instructions, check own work, and meet timescales.
