Job Summary

Senior Plumbing Engineer will lead and perform professional plumbing engineering tasks on building infrastructure projects, focusing on healthcare, life sciences, labs, and commercial high-rise facilities. You’ll collect site data, model and analyze systems, design plumbing schemes (including medical gas design), collaborate cross-functionally, and prepare technical reports and visuals to support design through construction.

Key Responsibilities

•Collect, compile, and analyze data from the site, surveys, blueprints, schematics, data, technical drawings, and reports for project development, design, and construction.
•Perform professional plumbing engineering work and conduct research and inspections of site conditions, equipment, resources, building, infrastructure, and usage; install plumbing systems to ensure conformance with rules, standards, and permits (medical gas design preferred).
•Incorporate advanced technology, modeling techniques, design requirements, load calculations, and operating strategies to ensure proper installation and functioning of equipment and systems.
•Work individually or with cross-functional teams of engineers, planners, and professionals to execute project work, lay out installation of equipment, and ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory documentation.
•Prepare data visualizations and technical drawings/reports for interpretation or presentation of data and findings.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Plumbing or Mechanical Engineering, or closely related discipline or significant years of experience in the plumbing industry
•5 to 7 years of relevant post-education experience in engineering discipline and prior plumbing and mechanical design experience; experience with medical gas design is preferred
•Engineer in Training Certification
•Knowledge of plumbing and mechanical engineering principles, practices, process, design/build, and the application to project work-related issues
•Experience with building and infrastructure planning, design, and construction management; including rehabilitation and new design
