Job Summary

Lead and manage NFP Europe’s group compliance function, owning the compliance strategy and continuously enhancing the Compliance Framework across policy, risk assessments, product governance, conflicts of interest, and outsourcing oversight. Drive a risk-based compliance monitoring and assurance program, provide strategic regulatory advice to senior executives, and act as the senior point of contact for FCA and CBI interactions. Own Consumer Duty strategy and mentor the UK and Republic of Ireland compliance teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Own and develop the compliance strategy within NFP’s European division and provide strategic regulatory and compliance advice to senior executives.
•Maintain and enhance the Compliance Framework, including policy architecture, regulatory risk assessments, consumer and conduct risk frameworks, product governance, conflicts of interest, and outsourcing oversight.
•Design and deliver a risk-based compliance monitoring and assurance programme, including compliance reporting and regulatory training to boards and senior leaders.
•Act as the senior point of contact for FCA and CBI interactions, including supervisory engagement, thematic reviews, regulatory submissions, notifications, and SMF/PCF applications.
•Lead the firm’s Consumer Duty strategy, oversee appointed representatives/sub-brokers/outsourced service providers, and lead/mentor the UK and Republic of Ireland compliance teams.

Key Requirements

•Strong understanding of UK and, preferably, Republic of Ireland regulatory regimes as they apply to general insurance and/or wealth management activities.
•ICA or CII qualifications.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills for translating complex regulation into practical guidance for the business.
•Excellent problem-solving skills with a focused and realistic approach.
•Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, combined with the ability to take a high-level and strategic view.
