•Set high standards for engineering quality, stay close to tech and product, and lead by example.
•Align engineering strategy with Wise-wide technical direction, and own hiring and long-term team impact.

•Experience with common design and architectural patterns and a passion for writing clean, performant, well-tested code.
•Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases, query optimization, and schema design (plus: Java, Spring Boot, Kafka).
